Lighting in a baby room

Tips for lighting in a baby room
Whether you are designing your baby's room or have it ready, there are still some details to make it comfortable for your baby. You already got the swing, some pretty little puppies and the changing table. Everything looks perfect for the baby. But with all the necessary for the baby's everyday life, you should think about how to properly illuminate the room of the new family member.

Natural light
In the selection of the baby's room, it is always recommended to have in the room at least one large window or balcony door. So offer your baby plenty of natural light that is invaluable. Natural light helps increase the efficiency of the person and helps in regulating heartbeats. Setting your baby's sleeping routine is very important for the baby as it will adapt to a 24-hour day, but it will also help Mom so he or she rests enough in the first difficult weeks after the baby arrives. Another very important advantage of having enough natural light in the room is the production of vitamin D. This vitamin helps to modify the calcium production which is so essential in the development of children for healthy teeth and bones. But as most babies sleep several times during the day, you will need curtains or blinds to prevent strong sunlight while your baby is asleep. When placing the swing make sure it is not right next to the window as sensitive baby skin always needs protection from the sun.

Central lighting
The central lighting of the room is of course very important but you should not be seduced. Try to choose a simple luminaire, preferably not too large and placed as close to the ceiling. As this bedroom is essentially a bedroom and you do not want to disturb your baby's eyes, it is better to choose a bright light bulb about 2700-3000K to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere for your baby. You can choose a lamp with one or more lamps, depending on the size of the room. We always recommend luminaires that receive LEDs with E27 threads that reach up to 20W or more to make sure you find a strong enough lamp to suit you.
Another way to achieve the creation of a serene atmosphere in the room is to place a dimmer instead of a switch. The Dimmer allows you to change the intensity of the lamp, which can be of great assistance to you when the baby is overheated and disturbs the strong light in the room.
Note: If you select LED bulbs, you will need to buy lamps with the "Dimmable" feature and you should combine them with an LED dimmer.

Night light
Newborn babies find it difficult to adapt to their new environment and to the sleep routine in a 24-hour period. For this reason, night light has proven to be extremely useful as it is an ideal source of low light that does not distract the baby, helps to understand that it is time to sleep but also to be able to see the nearby objects. Night lights can be socket or battery, they should not light up too much, and the idea is to have a light color. Of course, do not forget that they help parents to easily see and orient themselves in the many night sailings in the baby's room. An ideal solution for a night light is Bee lights, a very original garland made of cloth balizes that are illuminated internally, giving a soft and colorful light.

Auxiliary  lighting
It's time to breastfeed it, no matter if the time is three, the baby reminds you of his harsh crying that he is hungry. It would be good to place a rocking chair in your room to moan and nurse it, even to sing. For all this, you will need another light that will amplify the night light by using a LED lamp up to 6W. You can choose either a floor lamp in a corner of the room or a bedside table, depending on the room layout. The lamp would go too far alongside the changing table while the floor lamp could be placed in any corner (as the baby grows and starts to crawl and walks, it will be good to move it to another room).
